Digital Transformation and AI in the Workplace?

Can you imagine arriving at your office and having a machine giving you a list of your tasks and meetings for the day? This is the future that technology has in store for us with the fourth industrial revolution, spearheaded by digital transformation (DX).

As AI, automation, and machine learning break down barriers across all industries, businesses will need to embrace these technologies and understand that they are a source of multiple benefits. As artificial intelligence becomes an integral part of work processes, the overall benefits will become clearer. By automating tasks, companies will be able to have their human resources focus on more important endeavors. Highly skilled talents are the backbone of any organization, and reducing the time spent on repetitive/routine tasks can be achieved through the implementation of AI processes. Giants such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, etc. are investing hundreds of millions of dollars in the development of artificial intelligence solutions.

In the workplace, artificial intelligence will enable us to work more efficiently, reduce human error, and automate processes with the help of assisted intelligence, such as chatbots and natural language processing (NLP) tools that can simulate human conversation, answer questions, or personalize learning experiences.

Artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly integrated into everyone’s daily lives, not only in the personal sphere, but also in corporate decision-making across the entire business.

Interfaces between humans and digital systems will diversify, with 25% of technical teams using augmented reality and approximately 50% of new mobile applications having voice as their primary interface. Companies are implementing artificial intelligence for a variety of business reasons.

IDC’s predictions clearly indicate that AI-powered digital transformation (DX) is the only way forward. This creates an urgent need to redefine operating models, organizational structures, roles, and communication strategies based on artificial intelligence in order to effectively manage change. Forty percent of all digital transformation initiatives and 100% of all effective IoT efforts will be supported by artificial intelligence. This is because data from IoT devices and DX initiatives will have limited value without AI technologies that can extract valuable insights from the data.

To meet the challenges of DX economy, companies will need to develop their AI/ML teams more quickly. Artificial intelligence involves teams with synchronized communication, process automation, and advanced analytics, so professional profiles are needed in each of these fields, which are combinations of telecommunications, IT, mathematics, statistics, and engineering knowledge. If your business is considering implementing artificial intelligence technology, it is recommended that you start preparing the processes for the proper exploitation of AI models as soon as possible.
